Hello? Queer community? It’s Kate calling—I’m here for you because I am you.
I’m gay—like, very gay.
I am VERY vocal in my support of the LGBTQ+ community, because I understand how discouraging it can be to feel excluded from this industry that uses binary language… and is generally super heteronormative.
I’m not afraid to call out discrimination when I see it, and I love educating other wedding vendors on inclusivity vs. tokenism. You can always count on me to be your biggest champion + advocate for your love.
Love is love, and that is that.
As an American living in Europe, I’ve learned the value of local knowledge and familiarity with the places I bring my couples to. The value of understanding the nuances of traveling around Europe, the things you can’t find on Google, or really, truly know about until you’re there.
Whether you need location reccs, lodging options, vendor referrals, or you’re going crazy figuring out which train to take… I’ve got you.

I am based in Europe and travel home to Washington State often—but in between, there’s no telling where you’ll find me. I’ve visited 32 countries and photographed love in 24, with Portugal, Sri Lanka, and Iceland being among my favorites. My experiences living and traveling abroad have made me open-minded, empathetic, and forever in awe of all the beauty this world has to offer.
I’m a lifelong world traveler.
My years as a youth pastor, English teacher, missionary, and even a soccer coach have given me skills I still use today—skills that help me improve the experiences I deliver to my couples. I contain multitudes!
I draw on diverse life experiences + perspectives.
Even through times of loss, trauma, and hardship, I am a voice that reminds our world that there is still so much LOVE out there, and so many reasons to celebrate.
I know what it’s like to live, to love, and to lose.

“As a lesbian couple navigating the heteronormative world that is the wedding industry, finding a photographer who didn't make us feel "othered" was our highest priority, especially considering so much of our wedding day was going to involve our photographer. We spent some time looking up photographers, being met with contact forms that already specified ‘bride’ and ‘groom’. Thankfully, we found Katelyn after seeing her work shared by a friend on social media, and saw her profile highlighting many couples like us.
