On the 20th of June, 2020, it was a hot and sunny day in Castlerock, and a perfect day to get married.
Elyssa and Shea had fallen in love and become best friends, and they were ready to commit their lives to each other. The day started simple and sweet. They both got ready at a nearby hotel with their closest friends. Then, we went to their home church for the ceremony: St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. They chose not to see each other before the wedding, and instead, Elyssa did a first look with her father. Their relationship is so sweet and you can totally tell by their reactions to seeing each other. After the ceremony that was rich in tradition, we took some group pictures as well as some shots of the newlyweds, and then we travelled to Shea’s family’s house for the reception. They live on BEAUTIFUL land and transformed their barn into the perfect reception hall. Shea and Elyssa hired a live band to perform and they danced the night away, taking only one break to enjoy the sunset together. Shea and Elyssa are so wonderful and welcoming. I am so honored that they chose to hire me and bring me to Colorado to capture their wedding! I fall more in love with the state of Colorado every time I am there, and hope to explore more of it with my camera in hand.
