Vow Renewal at Deception Pass

A vow renewal is an amazing way to celebrate your marriage (again), and it allows you to reaffirm your commitment to each other. And Deception Pass is a gorgeous spot here in Washington, and the perfect place for a vow renewal ceremony! Cori and Jess had a vow renewal at Deception Pass, where they read their vows on the cliff side overlooking the ocean.

Reasons to Have a Vow Renewal

A vow renewal is a ceremony where you, well, renew your vows! It can be just the two of you, or with some friends or family members, and is a way to celebrate again after you’re married. Here are a few reasons why couples decide to have a vow renewal!

Updated Wedding Photos

After their wedding, Cori had cut her hair – and while she had some amazing wedding photos, they didn’t really reflect the way she looked now, and she wanted photos that felt more authentic, more like her. Photos are a common reason that couples decide to do a vow renewal! Maybe you weren’t happy with your wedding photos or didn’t have the budget for a photographer, or maybe you love your wedding photos, but just want something a little different – some new scenery, or photos that better reflect you.

Celebrate Your Love

Your marriage begins when you get married, but that’s not the final step! There’s so much that happens in a relationship, so much that you go through together, and so much to celebrate. A vow renewal is an amazing way to do something special for yourselves, celebrate how far you’ve come, and remind each other why you got married.

How to Have a Vow Renewal at Deception Pass

Deception Pass is a stunning place for a vow renewal, with incredible cliffs over the water. To have a ceremony here, you may need a permit! This can depend on the size of your ceremony and a few other factors, so the best way to find out if you need a permit is to contact the ranger’s office. I’ll help you navigate this and make sure you get all the right permits!
